Four quadricycle NANO cars (L6e & L7e).

Yes, to be able to drive the L6e "license-free" vehicle, you need to hold a Category AM driving license (designed for two- and three-wheeled mopeds and certain quadricycles). The Category AM license covers vehicles in the L6e class, which includes quadricycles with a maximum speed of 28 mph (45 km/h) and a weight limit.

  • 16 years for L6e with Category AM driving license.

  • The minimum age for driving a L7e vehicle is 17 years in the UK.

  • The maximum speed for an L6e vehicle is 28 mph.

  • The maximum speed for an L7e vehicle is 52 mph for the 2 battery model.

To drive a L7e vehicle in the UK, you must be at least 17 years old and hold a valid B1 driving license, as L7e vehicles are categorized as heavy quadricycles.

  • L6e vehicles, classified as light quadricycles, are allowed on public roads in the UK but are restricted from high-speed roads or highways.

  • L7e are allowed on all types of roads.

  • You need an EU schuko to UK socket adapter.

  • Power of 600W (110V-220V) and two options:
    (1) Charging from the battery to a SCHUKO connection
    (2) Charging from the vehicle to a SCHUKO connection

To charge the battery of your Silence vehicle, simply remove the battery and connect it to a standard 220V outlet.

The battery packs that can be charged from any standard 220V household outlet. Charging times vary by model, typically taking between 5 to 7 hours to fully charge.5

There is a comprehensive three-year manufacturers’ warranty on Silence batteries and two- years on our e-moto scooters. Plus we offer, as standard on all models, two years’ breakdown cover with our partner the AA.
